Student Council

The  Student Council of St. Louise de Marillac School  is an organization of elected homeroom representatives in grades 5-8 and four officers:   President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer.  Our main goal is to leave our school a better place than it was at the beginning of the school year.  We strive to create a stronger community within our school and to create a strong relationship among our students.

The Student Council focuses on service projects throughout the year.  Our annual Halloween Candy Collection is donated to the Jubilee Soup Kitchen and Light of Life Ministries.  We also host various events from year to year, such as the Fall Fest or Mardi Gras, Seven Springs Ski Trip, and Student Council vs. Teachers Volleyball Game.  Other upcoming events include the Snowfall Contest and Snowball Fight in the Halls.

Another source of income comes from the “Snack Shop” which sells healthy snacks to students staying after school for extracurricular activities.  With our proceeds this year, we were able to donate to the Dignity Robes of St. Louise Ministry.

Last year, Student Council was able to purchase a wireless microphone system for the school with our profits from the “Snack Shop” and “Fall Fest.”

Thank you to the teachers, parents, and students who continue to support our fundraisers and activities.
