We welcome you and your child to attend the Peters Township High School evening course selection scheduling presentation for incoming freshman for the 2019-2020 school year. This program will be held on March 6, from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm at the high school. Information that will be reviewed includes: graduation requirements, high school curriculum, and the general scheduling process.
You can register your child online for the 2019-2020 school year through our online portal system available on the New Student Enrollment link found under the District tab on the Peters Township School District website. Online registration will not be available until March 6. The following documents will be needed to upload for the registration process. Copies can be submitted to the high school counseling office for assistance in uploading the documents.
A copy of the student’s birth certificate or other legal document indicating name and date of birth (a copy of a passport or a copy of a Baptismal certificate may also be submitted)
Proof of residency (Copies of 3 of the following: A recent utility bill – not phone, tax statement, driver’s license, auto registration, check stubs from wages, public assistance, or social security.) Residency documents are required for any new enrollment, including new students with siblings currently registered at PTHS.
Proof of immunizations (you may be able to obtain a copy from your current school)
On March 6, you will be given a course selection form, which will need to be returned to the high school counseling office for processing on or before March 14, 2019. Once your enrollment is complete, the high school counselor will process your child’s course requests.
If, however, you are unable to attend this meeting, please call the Counseling Office at 724-941-6250 ext. 5213 to schedule an appointment at the high school during business hours (7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.) to complete the registration process.

I will be mailing (to principals) a request for information pertaining to course registration…. specifically, a principal recommendation and a form for classroom teachers to make a recommendation as well…. along with placement test scores, these responses will help make a proposal to parents for freshman year courses…. then parents will have an opportunity to approve or discuss further before courses and formally registered….

Parents of students who are planning to attend SPHS next year should stop by the high school office for a registration packet. It is much easier for the families to register in person. We can explain the forms, assign a Chromebook, set up transportation, etc. and we can schedule a time for the students to come during the summer and meet with a counselor to build their schedule.
It is helpful if parents can bring with them 2 forms of proof of residency, last report card, and immunization records.
We will have a new student orientation night in August, the date has not been set yet, but it will be posted on our website this summer.
Parents are always welcome to call us at 412-655-3111 with any questions.
